Firefox isn't accepting my master password

I just set a master password yesterday, even wrote it down so I wouldn't forget it, and today it isn't working. A small window keeps popping up asking me for my master password, yet it never works. I've tried both Safe Mode and Private Mode - neither work. I don't need to change my password because I know it... What am I supposed to do?!

Are you using the proper upper/lower case when inputting the password?

Yes, I assure you I'm using the correct password. I've only just made it yesterday.

Warning! Resetting the Master Password will remove all password information.

Hello koconnor,

Maybe you could rename or remove these in your Firefox profile folder (if present) with Firefox closed :

"logins.json", "key3.db" and "key4.db"

Go to the 3-bar menu (or press the Alt key) : Help => Troubleshooting Information => Profile Folder => Open Folder

Also see : http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox

Current Firefox releases use key4.db for the key file. If you still have a key3.db file from an older Firefox version then try to rename (or move) this file to key3OLD.db to see if that has effect.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
