then enter them manually, just copy from your other device.

I have the same issue, but without an existing config to copy over (which is not a real solution).

After auto configuration fails (which it shouldn't, autonfig.domain.tld/... works) I enter stuff manually, and press the re-test" button. After which it's as if nothing happens:

- mail server receives no requests - Thunderbird just sits there basically telling me to get a real email account that's pre-configured a Mozilla's ISP DB.

Autoconfig is a neat idea, however, the way it's implemented is really bad, it breaks desktop email.
