I need font size manager addon. For some reason Thunderbird updated itself. I did not update deliberately. How can I back out from 68 to a previous version where the extensions work. Thank you/

Theme and font size changer I assume. What level of zoom did you have set in it?

You might find setting the hidden preference layout.css.devPixelsPerPx in the config editor to something like 1.5 might be what you want, but using the percentage from the theme and fontsize addon would be somewhat more exact, with 100% being a setting of 1, 150% being 1.5 an so on.

Thank you Matt. But I can no idea how to get into Config editor. There is no Theme or Font size addon available for ver 68. I am able to work with my Calendar now, Tools/options/display/formatting I set the font to Verdana 9 from Aerial 10. I believe I had Aerial 8 in my 60 version. I would prefer Verdana 8. Zoom is not working for me in calendar. Rather it works but does not do what I want. I can Zoom in or out once then the Zoom fails to work. Zoom Reset does nothing. I need to go into Options Calendar Views to do a reset. Zoom text only is greyed out. Even when I can set Zoom Text Only, not sure how I did it, Zoom does not seem to affect the text.

Thank you Matt. My Lightning Calendar is now useable, The Config editor seemed to make no difference. The Zoom function works in Thunderbird, It is in the Calendar Lightning that the Zoom is not working.

did you restart Thunderbird after you made the change? config entries are generally only read when the program starts and actually written as the program closes.

Yes Matt I did restart, if clicking the X in the red box is a close, because that is how I do the close.

I will try to be very exact with my description on my problem.

I use the Calendar addon, Lightning. It is with the Calendar that I am having the problems. Thunderbird email is working fine.

It seems to me that the Calendar Addon Lightning has not been adequately updated to incorporate what the Theme and Font addon (that is now blocked) did by way of controlling fonts and row heights in the Calendar.

I mostly use the Multiweek View in Calandar. If I set the Calendar to show 3 weeks I am able to use it in ver 68. I would very much prefer to show 4 weeks.

In ver 60 I could set Calendar to show 5 weeks and it was ok, mostly I had it set to 4 weeks.

When using Zoom in the Calendar in ver 68 Zoom does not work properly. Zoom seems to be incrementing the number of weeks to view in Multiweek mode and never decrements. The only way to fix what Zoom did is to go into Calendar Options Mutliweek View and reset the weeks to view to 3.

Also the fonts in Calendar do not seem to be affected by the Thunderbird font settings.

Also the height of the rows in calendar remain the same regardless of the Font chosen or the Zoom function.

I need to be able to see up to 8 tasks in Multiweek Calendar mode and this is only possible if I set 3 weeks to view.

In Thunderbird ver 60 I had the Themes and Fonts addon that allowed me to control how many rows to see in Lightning Calendar by controlling the Font size and also by adjusting the height of the rows.

If anyone can help, I sill want to know how to back out of ver 68 to ver 60.

I know I can delete thundebird by uninstall then download the old version and reinstall, but I want to keep my old emails and calendar info.

Is it possible to reinstall v 60 and have it save my data, please? If not how can I back out of 68 to 60 and keep my existing data.

Perhaps, but I am not much of a coder, but what is the procedure to try to edit the source code. I feel that because the zoom and font control is working in thunderbird, I could try to port that logic into lightning, just a wild guess.
