Please leave my addons alone and my custom settings as I have them!

I have checked 'NOTIFY me of updates and let me decide' in Mozilla over and over again. Still you manage to ignore that and install your updates anyway. Also, I keep selecting the option to use Mozilla's pdf viewer, but no, Mozilla keeps downloading their needless updates onto my computer anyway! Grrrrr. I'm back using IE as my preferred browser. At least they don't force unwanted, settings-changing updates every couple of weeks. They screw up my Yahoo browser (WHY?!) and uninstall my add-ons and custom settings. PLEASE STOP! I just want a browser that works without flaws. I don't want Mozilla to become a tedious part of my daily life.

Chosen solution

'NOTIFY me of updates and let me decide' Don't use that setting. The update 'notification' dialog window can easily end up behind the main browser window, and when it "times out" (seems like in 60 to 90 seconds) while waiting for your response, then the update will be downloaded without waiting any longer for your answer.

Just use the "Never check for updates".

"I just want a browser that works without flaws. " That is what the automatic program update does; fixes Firefox without user attention when a security flaw is reported.
