My email @ gmail.com has no problem with Google Mail, but it cannot be created in Thunderbird as before with previous Thunderbird versions.

It is possible to check "disable cache" in the Network-inspect tab such that reloading always does a "hard" refresh as long as the browser devtools are open, but it would be incredibly helpful for there to be a per-site setting perhaps in about:config or just in Firefox Dev Edition to do the same thing on a per-site basis without devtools open.

Developers would find this helpful for example on things served from localhost!

To DavidGG I received your message about the incorrect SMTP setting. I have changed the setting to match your correction. Everything is working, both Incoming and Outgoing email are working. Thank you for your assistance. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Preliminaries -- Initially (before trying to force-pin), I had these GPOs enabled:

What I'm trying to do: Force-pin Bitwarden.

I believe I've followed the documentation correctly (except for not including a "*" case): https://mozilla.github.io/policy-templates/#extensionsettings

I've enabled this GPO with this value:

After running various "GPUpdate"s and whatnot, the option to uncheck "Pin to toolbar" is still available to click.

I've verified in "about:policies#active" that the JSON item appears next to "ExtensionSettings" and that there are no errors listed in the "Errors" tab.

I've also verified that it appears in the correct location in the Registry.

Since another user had the same issue (Reddit link above), I figured it'd be a good idea to check in with y'all to see if we are missing something.

I've turned off threading in each of my Thunderbird mailboxes, however the print preview shows the entire thread! I don't want to print the entire thread, just the currently selected email. Is this a bug? Seems that way.

Having moved Thunderbird from Drive C: to Drive D:, space saving, and with everything working very well I note that my Address Book is still on Drive C:. Please advise how to move this to Drive D:. Happy New Year, and apologies for the timing of this question.

Many of the new messages I receive are in a tiny font. I can make them bigger using the Zoom but I would rather not have to do that manually for each email. This is running Win 11 with Thunderbird 129.6.1. Thank you.

I have tried everything I can think of or find on the internet about changing fonts on FireFox. My bookmarks and titles are very large and I can't get them down at all. I've tried all the suggested way on the internet by changes the fonts in settings/General but it doesn't change the font in Bookmarks. Help, I'm loosing a lot of real estate on my browser

There are events that gmail can create within your google calendar based on emails. For instance calendar events created when you purchase plane tickets.

The events are useful. But I can't dismiss them in thunderbird. No matter how many times i hit dismiss and they come back to remind me constantly.

I don't want to stop getting these events, but I do want to dismiss them.

How do I do this?

Hi everyone, I have a fleet of machines running debian and I would like the Thunderbird setting "Allow antivirus clients to quarantine individual incoming messages" to be always enabled.

It doesn't appear to be supported by the policies.json method of setting it up.

Is there a way to enforce it?

I'm also aware of the option to create an user.js file in the profile folder with the content "user_pref("mailnews.downloadToTempFile", true);"

But this method requires to create the profile first and then know it's location. Is there a "profile template" that I can edit to set that preference how I need it?

I have set mine to "Ask every time" and yet it doesn't .... it just says Camera Access needed. Go to Android Settings, tap permissions and tap allow.

Everytime I reboot my PC or do something because a game crashed and open Firefox, I have to keep answering the same ***ing question, time and time again... And I am getting sick of it.

There is no option in setting to turn this off... Because you have turned in a bunch of brainless blithering idiots, who are slowly turning Firefox into a useless sack of sh*t.

I want one option... turn off all the BS questions and leave me alone, and for the 800th time, do not restore my tabs from a previous session...

Firefox is used on Windows 11 Enterprise. There is a firefox.cfg in the installation directory (and an autoconfig.js in the ./defaults/pref sub-directory). The firefox.cfg targets an autoconfigfile.js. This setup is recommended here: [firefox using autoconfig"]

1. In the support article´s example, the firefox.cfg uses a pref(); expression. Is it possible to use a lockPref(); expression instead?
2. What is the result of either using pref(); expressions or user_pref(); expressions in the remoted autoconfigfile.js? Are both of them possible, especially while the firefox.cfg uses lockPref(); expressions instead of pref();?

One of the things I heavily rely on with FireFox is it storing words I type in reply boxes on various forums. Lately however, Firefox only seems to keep them for several hours, then they disappear. For example, I can type in "K Frame." (See image attached) The next time I go to use that field again, that text will automatically appear. And it may continue to do so for several hours, even if I close out Firefox and return later, but eventually, within 24 hours, it will disappear and I will have to retype it again the nest time I want to use that phrase. FireFox used to hold these words or phrases forever.

Any suggestions????? Both my Windows 11 and Firefox are up to date.

It seems like it may be possible to add "List View" to my Thunderbird calendar view selection options ( currently only: Day, Week, Multiweek, Month). "List View" is my preferred view in Outlook and Google calendars. I read that the "Lightning" extension needs to be installed on Thunderbird to allow List type calendar entry viewing. Lightening added nifty color coding options, but I still don't see a way to show my calendar entries in List View. I'm still a bit of a novice on Thunderbird controls and it seems like I may be overlooking something. Would anyone be good enough to offer a little help?
