I heard that Firefox switched CEOs and the new one wants to implement AI. Please, do not do this. The only reason I switched to Firefox was because it was the one place I could disable the AI that pops up in every search! It's also not reliable, and rarely have I ever heard of it resulting in genuine financial gain. I don't think I've ever actually heard of it having genuine financial gain.

Listen, I know it's easy to fall into things that have so much hype around them, but I urge you Mozilla, please cancel your plans to integrate "AI" into your browser. You're one of the last good search engines, please, don't take yourself away from me.

I just learned the new CEO for Firefox is really all about AI and wanting to go all out... My biggest concern, beyond AI being such an overused unreliable 'tool', is that it'll create more bloat and privacy risks, I just can't trust any program that depends on AI no not be gathering data, and Firefox was my choice browser because it's all about helping your privacy! I'm not sure what other browsers there are that DON'T force AI down their users throats but if Firefox does change its foundation that much, I'll have to go elsewhere. I'm just frustrated and hoping this will not happen.

Here's the thing, Firefox isn't preinstalled on any PC or Mac or iOS or Android. This is a userbase that already went out of our way to pivot from the default ecosystem to come to Firefox.

So if you keep pushing this "AI" on folks, they have already proven their ability and readiness to leave.

I've been with Firefox since the big Quantum refresh. I already know what other browsers I can migrate to. And I'm a hobbyist writer who has been one of the many victims of AI companies scraping my work for their models.

Reverse course on this AI push, or not only will I leave but everyone I chat with, every computer in my department at work, we're all out.

Please please please don't fill this browser with AI features.

Tell Mozilla I am leaving Firefox after 20+ years of usage because AI was added without a button in settings to turn it off. They are no longer giving me the control I desire.

The only reason I even use Firefox is to avoid AI slop. Way to take a hammer to your own nuts, Firefox. If the new CEO intends to continue implementing AI "improvements" to the browser, I'm done.
