I can't remember my Firefox log in ID and password and I need to sign in. At the sign in window for Firefox there is not option to click on "forgot password" or "forgot User ID" . Does any one know how to recover that information?

I've installed a download extension to Firefox on my Android phone and now wonder how to use it to download embedded videos in a webpage?

I've used a similar extension in Firefox on my Mac for years, and that is very easy to use, but using it on Android has eluded me as I can't find any access to it when I'm onthe page i want to download from. Can anyone provide advice please?

All of a sudden, I cannot login to my QNAP nas to perform any administration.

First it issues a self-signed certificate error. Then it issues a MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_CA_CERT_USED_AS_END_ENTITY after I've imported the certificate into the Firefox internal CA.

I am completely locked out of being able to manage my NAS because of this issue. I could issue another certificate, but, I can't actually install it. I could update the software in the unit to see if QNAP has fixed this issue, but I can't get into administer the device at all.

You people need to allow users to over-ride security concerns where errors such as this occur. The whole purpose of security exceptions is to prevent this kind of stuff from happening.

Please help and please give your users a way of managing this situation.

i attempted to update my Firefox this morning and the app froze and refused to reopen after multiple attempts. i decided to throw the app away and re-download firefox on my desktop, but now have no access to my bookmarks, open tabs (history) and passwords. please assist!

Starting this morning Firefox is not letting me log in to some pages. Other pages i can get into but they do not display/load properly. Everything was working fine on Friday. What changed?

I received two work-related files, one in PDF format and one HTML, both of which display blank pages when opened in Firefox. I am able to open both files in Chrome with no problem. I've been using/opening similiar files on Firefox from the same source for many years with no problems, so this came up fairly recently. Please help.

What is this new notification badge I now have on my Firefox Tab in the Windows taskbar. An annoying little number one in a circle that won't go away and won't tell me where the notification is coming from?

I believe this problem is caused by a false crash recovery loop, every time I open firefox it'll close again and then give me an annoying red striped address bar. I'm sure its not my extensions because I only have Ublock Origin installed.

I find, even though passwords are saved, I must sign into every account I have every time if a log in is required . The main accts. like Facebook and X but also all my lesser accounts. It's as though the left and right brains aren't talking to each other....very frustrating.

I have multiple duplicate "Other Bookmarks" folders populating my "Bookmarks" folder. I can't seem to get rid of them. Any solutions? If I delete one folder will all be deleted? Windows 10, Firefox 140.0

when i open firefox (including opening a new tab) my CPU peaks at 100% on all cores for a few seconds. this is without any pages loading and without many heavy extensions (all i have is malwarebytes and dashlane)

After recent update, I can not browse any addons. The site https://addons.mozilla.org does not open, shows the connection timed out. I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox deleteting all firefox related files. The problem still persists. Other than this all the using browsing I do are all working fine. Just this extensions I cannot browse. When I click the extension icon by default it shows some extensions, I can Install them. The problem is I can not browse them. Even the recomendation tab is also empty.

PS: I am using firefox on manjaro linux.

Hello, after a power cut I lost all my bookmarks. When I try "Manage Bookmarks -> Import and Backup -> Restore -> Choose File..." nothing happens.

In the folder ".mozilla/firefox/6924v31j.default-1728390329118/bookmarkbackups" there are several backup files, but the newest has the date Jun 25, though the name suggests it's from Jul 2: -rw-r--r-- 23850 Jun 25 13:07 'bookmarks-2025-07-02_184_mg1znof1NbBiyJ14ZcO9SluvTvLZI-rxPSm20YZUJww=.jsonlz4'

In the directory ".mozilla/firefox/6924v31j.default-1728390329118" there is also places.sqlite from Jul 4 11:59 (that was the moment when the power was cut).

How can I restore my bookmarks?

I have Firefox on 4 separate devices (Windows 10, Windows 11, Linux Ubuntu derivative x 2).

For the last 2 weeks, every time I open Firefox, the recommended stories are active. I go into settings, turn off the setting and it behaves correctly for that session. However, when I open Firefox on a different device, or the next time, recommended stories are showing once again. I like and want a clean, minimalist interface, and expect Firefox to honour my settings.

My mail checker extension isn't working right in Firefox. Extension Link I was able to find an error using Developer Options but I don't know if the error is even related to the extension or if it is even useful. If anyone would help me, I would be very grateful.
