Problem in downloading files within mozilla firefox 17.0.1

I am using windows 7 and mozilla firefox version 17.0.1. Every time I try to download anything with Mozilla Firefox it will not give me result and nothing is happened.No window or option is appeared after clicking on save button. 

When i try to download in Internet explorer,no problem is occured,it downloads my files.

I recently reinstall my windows in laptop but problem is not solved. I am comfortable with mozilla browser So i don't want to use any other browser. Kindly help me in solving this problem.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.
