my firefix is totally in irish (gaeilge) and I can't change it to english, how can i have everything in english?

Download the UK or US English version from here and run the installation file: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html

As a precaution, make a back of your Bookmarks first as follows:

  1. Click the orange Firefox button, go to Bookmarks, then Show All Bookmarks.

  2. Click the link at the top called Import and Backup.

  3. Click Export HTML and save the file somewhere.

If something goes pear-shaped, follow the same procedure, but choose Import HTML and navigate to where you saved the "bookmarks.htm" file.
