Gmail authentification dialog does not open when setting up new account
Trying to set up new Gmail account in Thunderbird. New account dialog opens, recognises Gmail address and imap details, but doesn't allow me to provide Gmail with password. Authentification failure results.

Which TB version are you using?
Hi Joel. It's 153.4.0esr (64 bit)
I've just tried updating TB, eventually by running Thunderbird Setup 158.0.exe, TB still opens in version 153.4.0esr! Now I have stopped receiving email to all but one of my Gmail addresses....
Progress! Thanks Joel. TB version 158.0 has been installed, and Gmail accounts have loaded. However, data from my old version was not transfered. I can set up my IMAP accounts again in the new version. But I have lost access to my Local Folders.
I will start a new question asking how I can access TB Local Folders on my pc, and import them into the new version.
Glad to hear it. My feeling is that your local mail is under a different profile. Please see attached screenshot. It should be a simple matter of quitting TB, copy local folders to your new profile, and start TB. Let me know how it goes.
Hi Joel, I couldn't find another Profile folder. I've just imported a back-up Local Folders from a few months ago, and taken the recent losses on the chin. I use IMAP, so Local Folders isn't used very much anyway. Thanks for your help.
