How to change pin which is required when using saved card payment details?

Firefox saves my bank card details when I make payments, but to use the auto-fill I need a pin. I have no idea what this is, and I can't find anywhere to change it. I found where I could change my password (which I don't want to do) but nothing for the pin. What can I do?

You can try getting that dialog after a while perhaps by going into Firefox settings and looking to manage saved cards there, it would probably invoke the same again.

For disabling that authentication, you just uncheck "Require device sign in to fill and manage passwords" if you only rely on the main browser password and don't need this extra layer of encryption.

This is the PIN you use to unlock your Windows when you log in.

There's a setting you can uncheck to not require device authentication to unlock these credentials in Firefox if you don't want this extra system protection.

Thank you, I had already had to enter my firefox password and then it asked for a PIN as well so I assumed it was related to Firefox. I shall try my Windows password (I only have a password not a PIN) next time I make an on-line payment.

'Require device sign in to manage passwords' box is already not ticked! I can't find how to manage saved cards in settings, but don't worry, now. I'll try the windows password next time and get back to you. I'm not looking to buy anything soon, so it may be a while. Thanks for your help
