I have just had a scam calendar entry added without me accepting the invite or an email requesting it.

The entry has clickable links - obviously scam/spam

How could that happen?

ahh, but did you mail provider accept on your behalf? That is a reminder, but what makes you think Thunderbird added it?

I run email through Gmail. So yes maybe.

I didn't think of that. It just appeared as a reminder in Thunderbird which only runs on my laptop.

I'll check Gmail as the culprit and report back.
