reasons why this might be happening:
1. Profile Corruption: Sometimes, the user profile can become corrupted, leading to unexpected behavior, including the rearrangement of shortcuts. 2. Changes in Default Settings: Updates may reset certain settings or change the way Firefox handles bookmarks and shortcuts, causing them to be rearranged. 3. Add-ons or Extensions: Some extensions can interfere with the way Firefox manages bookmarks and shortcuts. If an extension is not compatible with the new version, it might cause issues. 4. User Interface Changes: Firefox updates can sometimes introduce changes to the user interface, which may affect how shortcuts are displayed or organized. 5. Multiple Profiles: If you have multiple profiles or if Firefox is not recognizing your profile correctly, it might lead to confusion in the arrangement of shortcuts.
What You Can Do:
1. Check for Updates: Ensure that all your extensions are updated to their latest versions, as outdated extensions can cause compatibility issues. 2. Reset Firefox: If the problem persists, consider resetting Firefox to its default settings. This can help resolve issues caused by corrupted profiles or settings. You can do this by going to Help > Troubleshooting Information > Refresh Firefox. 3. Create a Backup: Regularly back up your bookmarks and shortcuts. You can do this by exporting them to an HTML file, which you can import later if needed. 4. Use Bookmark Folders: Organize your bookmarks into folders to make them easier to find, even if they get rearranged. 5. Report the Issue: If this behavior continues, consider reporting it to Mozilla through their support channels or forums, as it may be a bug that needs to be addressed in future updates.
