Firefox not saving browser information between sessions

Hello Mozilla,

I am about to trash Firefox ... an app that I have used for years, but in the past few weeks it has become an item of frustration.

I have the lastest version which in itself works great but recently cannot remember settings from session to session. I have reviewed comments on the subject but cannot find a solution.

Help please ... or it will be trashed within the week.

Hi Darryl, sorry to hear about this problem. Could you describe in more detail what data you're losing? For example:

  • Open tabs are not restored, History menu doesn't have Restore Previous Session
  • History is erased (no browsing history, empty downloads list)
  • Signed out of everything (probably cookies were cleared)
  • Site-specific permissions, zoom levels, etc., are reset to defaults
  • Customizations removed (toolbar layout goes back to the default layout, theme reset, add-ons removed)
  • Other
