I can't prevent Firefox from displaying the chronik on each new Window. I know, ^H switches the Display on/off, but I don't want it on every startpage.

Answer found after posting the question (helpful hint under "see also" and "The Chronik are open if a new Windows ist open!"):

Solution: Rename/remove xulstore.json in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.

This solves only in the running Windows session (chronic doesn't pop up after restart of Firefox).

Final resolution (works actually w. win-10 and Firefox 134.0.2 (64-Bit)) 

- set Firefox to one instance / one window / without chronik display.
- close FF
- delete xulstore.json in the Firefox profile
- start FF (looks ok without chronik)
- close FF (new xulstore.json is created in the Firefox profile)
- shutdown/restart windows

Now it seems to work as expected.
