Maximized Thunderbird window prevents the automatically hiding Windows taskbar from emerging when the cursor is moved down on to it. Thunderbird is the only program that does that. Is it a bug or can I adjust some settings which control that?

Solved, and works as it should after the latest Windows updates KB4522355 and KB4522741. I don't know which one did the trick but obviously there was something wrong in the OS.

I'm using Windows 10 64bit, TB version 32bit 68.2.0 What are you using?

Tested maximise thunderbird window Using setting below the taskbar appears when I move cursor to bottom. So everything working ok for me.

In search: Task bar settings Task bar: Lock the taskbar = on Auto hide the taskbar in desktop mode = on Auto hide the taskbar in tablet mode = off use small taskbar button = off Use peek to preview when you move mouse to the show desktop button at end of task bar = off replace command prompt etc = on show badges on taskbar buttons = on Other items in off mode.

Do you have any different settings?

I use TB from 1 year ago. Every time I reinstall it (for changing the OS) I'm not able to close the window it in taskbar without closing the program. I can't find any option for put it on hidden icons in taskbar as I can do with all others programs (Calendar, Cleaner, Antivirus, etc.) All my opened programs are in taskbar hidden but TB when I close the window, the program are closed. This is very annoying since I have to be careful always to minimize the window instead of simply close it.
