Hello. I have a problem with the appearance of Firefox on Windows 8. Basically, when I place the pointer on the menu bar voices, it should appear a "highlighting rectangle". Mine has changed color, and is now dark blue with no outline instead of Windows' default color. There is no issue with drop-down voices, however. This happened a while ago without me doing anything to Firefox and actually happens only in Firefox. What can I do? Thanks.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Unfortunately, it didn't work. :( I think, at this point, the cause could be Windows or the Antivirus. Anyway, thanks for your answer. :)
