I already had a sync account and knew the password, but it would not accept the password and then forced me to take a chance on losing data by creating a new sync account. So, I played the game and created a new sync account using the old password as the new password. Really stupid bug of your own making. Better not have lost anything, or it is off to Chrome for good.
