I used the add on theme and fonts & size changer but after the last TB update to 52.5.2 that add on is not working anymore. How could I enlarge the folder name fonts that are very very tiny? Thanks.

Yes, there are mutliple reports it expired again.

From the workarounds list at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1428440#c7 there is a non-expiring version of the addon...

On http://www.rossde.com/ThemeFontSizeChangerNoexpire/index.html right+click the "get it here link" to save the XPI file to disk. Then in Thunderbird in tools > addons click the gear to install it from disk

Great! It worked. At first Firefox did not allow me to download. Then I downloaded it on Chrome and installed it. Works fine. Thumbs up!

Hmm, I rather think that Firefox declined to install it. Since Chrome doesn't recognize xpi files as extensions, plugins or addons, it just obediently downloads them and doesn't express any opinions on their suitability or compatibility.

Right-click, save as. Or drag and drop onto Thunderbird's Add-ons|Extensions page.

BTW, I'm getting a 404 on that Dropbox link. I'll need to check if my xpi file is still there.

But I think you'd do better to invest in a userChrome.css file, or try the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx or layout.css.dpi settings in the Config Editor.

Well, it worked now. I guess I have Chrome to thank for it. Mozzila and Thunderbird should get it right every time they update their browser or email client. I hate being faced with issues after every update. Thank you for your reponse.

When someone suggests to use Chrome css file..... what does that mean?

The userChrome.css file is described earlier in this very thread.

Zenos: is there a Mac OS version of these instructions, or should I be using a text editor other than TextEdit? It won't allow me to save as a .css file.

Can you save it as a text file end then change the file's name as required? I've never used a Mac, so I don't know quite what you're up against.

Are there any Mac users/experts in this forum that may be able to help?

I did find a workaround that saved it as a plain text CSS file, but after following all instructions it still failed to change the font size in question. I also couldn't use it as an add-on file because TBird called it corrupt.

For now, I'll still depend on the non-expiring TF&SC
