Using Firefox 53.0. I have only mobile internet. Firefox is very slow and frequently hangs for seconds. This is a recent phenomenon. I have to use Chrome, and it works satisfactorily. I would prefer to stick with Firefox. You are not going to do a Yahoo Messenger and kill a brilliant product are you?

As to the slowness (if the above has no effect);

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
