My address book used to be on the left side while writing e-mail, now I have to start typing a name to get address choices, I lost the tool bar ?

I seem to have lost the tool bar at the top of the page while trying to write an e-mail.

F9 will toggle the contact pane on and off.

Now press Alt+V select toolbars from the menu. Make sure the following have a tick against them

In the main window, right click the toolbar (with write on it) and make sure the following entries have a tick.
