I do not want to suggest deleting the cache if there are pieces of history that you would like to save.

However there was an experiment that we can run. There is an add on called Places Maintenance that we use to clear corrupted places.sqlte files in user's profiles. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire.../?src=search

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.

Thank you for help, deleting places.sqlite along with backups fixed the problem.
