Firefox crashes immediately upon opening

Firefox crashes as soon as I open it. It does not even open the window. I just watch it in the task manager appear in the processes window and immediately shut down. It does not display a crash report but below are the most recent ones. I cannot get it to open in safe mode. I have tried completely reinstalling it, which does open Firefox but then some random page script causes Firefox to freeze. The problem then continues the very next time I try to start Firefox. Any help as how to fix this problem would be appreciated.

looks like malware, Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware

I went to Thunderbird to click the link to confirm this question and Firefox opened just fine...
