How can I limit the size of the Bookmarks submenus?

I am having trouble with the new format of the Bookmarks submenus. When I scroll down through my list of bookmarks the submenus for some topics will show up if I move too slowly over the topic. In most cases, these submenus are large and cover the bookmarks toolbar and then I am unable to scroll any farther. They used to show up to the side of the toolbar and I could just scroll by them. Is there any way to change the size, location, or format of the bookmarks submenus? It is driving me crazy!

That is probably because you have one or more bookmarks with a long title.
The width of a column in the Bookmarks menu list is in current Firefox versions automatically adjusted to fit the bookmark with the longest name.
You can check the names of the bookmarks and make the longer ones shorter.
