I try to sign in to sync, then a button and some text flashes briefly before displaying a loading animation that doesn't end. The button says "Try again" and the text says something about "Firefox" and "connection".

Using Firefox for Android, version 68.8.0, downloaded the APK from https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android Android 7.1.2 (LineageOS 14.1)

Hi

I understand that Firefox Sync did not connect to your mobile device on this occasion, but hopefully I should be able to help you force a Sync event to take place.

Assuming you have connected the same Sync account on both your mobile and desktop copies of Firefox:

In Firefox on your mobile device:

  1. Go into the Settings menu and select Firefox Account.
  2. Tap on Synchronise now.

This will “force” a synchronisation of the data that is on the local device storage.

I am trying to connect my account on the mobile browser for the first time, so this does not work for me. Where "Firefox account" would be is replaced by "Sign in".
