Firefox crashes just after startup every single time, even in safe mode. It continues to do this even after refreshing it and after several attempts of complete uninstall and re-install. Seems to be no fixing it!

Chosen solution

Sorry to hear about the crashes and thank you for sharing the crash report ID (in your Question Details > More System Detail).

This is a problem in Firefox 43 with the program known as (either):

  • Nvidia Network Access Manager
  • Forceware Network Access Manager

Apparently this is a bonus program that Nvidia provides, but which is only used in a business setting.

Can you uninstall that program?

If you prefer to keep it, this problem was fixed in Firefox 44-46, so try to download the Firefox 46.0 installer directly from the source server:

http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/46.0/win32/en-US/

Note: the larger file that does not have the word stub in the name is the full installer that includes everything. The stub installer has to connect back to the server for additional files.

Can you get Firefox running again?

It worked like a charm. I can't believe it as I thought I had tried EVERYTHING prior. Tried chrome and opera in the meantime and could not stand the terrible performance anymore. Thanks for saving me!
