address bar has little arrow which shows a list of various web-sites when I click on it. I don't know where they come from or how to delete them, have tried various. This is not the history menu. There seems no rhyme or reason for what is on this list, some recent, but most old or cant even remember having been on the web-site. Some are sensitive which I do not want stored, such as Bank Web-site.

Note that this arrow opens a drop down list that shows links that you have typed or pasted in the location/address bar ordered by frecency.

Use these steps to remove data from a drop-down list:

  1. highlight an entry in the drop-down list with the mouse or cursor Down key
do not click the mouse or press the Enter key
  2. press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to delete the highlighted entry
