Today, out of approximately 31 attempts to connect to Amazon or (once connected to Amazon) navigate to a new Amazon page, Firefox succeeded 14 times. 14 out of 31 is good in baseball, poor in basketball, and unacceptable in connecting and browsing. Here is the "error" according to Firefox:

I have read the potential solutions to this problem. I did disconnect my VPN (Proton) and was able to connect to Amazon on my next attempt. However, that was atypical rather than typical - when I attempted to move from one Amazon page to another Amazon page, the END OF FILE ERROR was the result. Further attempts to reconnect to Amazon have succeeded 3 out of 11 times. Yes, I did close Firefox and reopen it, I am signed in to my Firefox/Mozilla account and I did reboot my laptop. I have yet to try the other solutions because I want to be a good Mozilla client and follow the instructions attached to the error message: "Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem." I have contacted Amazon and am now waiting to hear back from someone in the Technical Department. I am skeptical that Amazon will be able to resolve this because I doubt that Amazon is to blame (this lack of connectivity has also happened with Google, GMail and a couple other sites that I can't recall at the moment.
To clarify, the received data of supposed questionable authenticity has been my login information on the official Amazon login page and also simply the data from an Amazon product page (bike locks mostly)
For me, this is only a problem with Firefox. It is NOT happening on Bing, and even Chrome is able to connect without the END OF FILE ERROR. I have occasionally encountered other instances where Firefox would not connect me but the other browsers would. Most notably, this happens often when trying to connect my laptop with my phone via Bluetooth and other times when I'm asked to sign in to Google or sign in to my Microsoft account. On those occasions, Firefox demands that I insert my original security key from an external flash drive. I would be glad to do so, but I've never had an original security key on an external flash drive. At those times, I attempt the identical login using Bing (success about 9 out of 10 times) or Chrome (success every time).
I am not a cyber guru and am not even technically gifted with computer technology and internet knowledge. I am self-taught and am mediocre (at best) in these areas, so I'm hoping that the blame for this issue is mine as opposed to Firefox being at fault.
I look forward to any advice, suggestions or resolution to this issue and I thank in advance any who reply.
I am on an HP Probook 650 G2, Windows 10 Pro Build 22H2 (HP states that this laptop cannot be upgraded to 11), Firefox version 137.0 (64-bit), Xfinity WiFi 5G, Arris SB8300 Router/Modem. All are functioning as intended except Firefox.

Lastly my e-mail provider (DomainFactory) switched to Microsoft exchange so that I had to adapt all my Mail Programs.
Apparently an update of existing Mail accounts on my devices is not possible so I had to add new accounts.
First problem I have now is that IMAP does not seem to work in Thunderbird. I added a new account with all the necessary settings. But now I always get a message popup that does not even gives me a full description. The text I see is: "User is authenticated but n..."
Then I tried Owl. That now works, but I would rather use just IMAP.
Also another problem. On my IPhone I also added a new account in the standard Apple Mail programm. There it worked. But when I read a Mail on my phone it does not synchronize anymore with Thunderbird. I can see the Mail in the browser version of Outlook. So I wonder why Thunderbird does not synchonize read e-mails that still are on the server....

I have been considering using the calendar feature in Thunderbird. I like to print a weekly list of events, etc. However, when a Microsoft Team appointment is accepted, all the details about that are in there. So it defeats the purpose of a clean succinct list. Any way to edit events showing in the Calendar/List, esp. this specific instance? Deleting and adding simple clean event might get back to Meeting scheduler. Thanks

I recently installed Thunderbird on a new Windows 11 PC. Everything works except calendar reminders. My Thunderbird profile lives on the D drive so I copied my old profile.ini file which points to my Thunderbird profile on the D drive from the old pc at C:\Users\"ownwer"\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird to the corresponding folder on the new PC. I have the latest version of Thunderbird, 136.0.1. The old PC was using Thunderbird version 115.5.1. When I tried to revert to version 115.12.0 I got an error message about the profile incompatibility between versions that related to version 68 i.e. "Unable to use profile when you launch an older version of Thunderbird". Please help.
Fixed. The problem seems to be caused because the new version defaulted to not showing reminders for writable calendars. Click on the burger symbol at the top right of the calendar window and choose Settings. Scroll past what is immediately visible to the bottom of the window to find the setting for "Show missed reminders for writable calendars" and select. This setting is not available for individual calendars when you view their properties by right clicking on the calendar name in the bottom left window but the "Show Reminders" must also be selected here to see reminders.

For little more than year I've been battling with an issue, where after watching Youtube for hour or two, and having 5-6 open tabs with videos, at some point Firefox would crawl to a stop with UI going down to 1-2 fps, and finally inability to click anything, until I restarted the browser.
Only today I have pieced together, that when it happens, task manager shows almost all of my GPU's VRAM (Dedicated GPU memory) is claimed by Firefox. It looks that there is a GPU memory leak somewhere.
How should I go on about this? If it's a bug, what I should include in a report?

This just continues, when gpu-dedicated hits ~7.8 GB, Firefox becomes unusable, and rest of the system appears a bit sluggish.
I can't say if this is regression, since I haven't been watching YT at all until recently.
Windows 10 Pro 22H2 Firefox Nightly 64 bit EN, 139.0a1 build 20250405211119 Checked in my normal everyday profile and with new clean one. GPU acceleration enabled, all video codecs installed.
Hardware: Core i7 9750H, 32 GB DDR4, GeForce 4060 8 GB. this is NOT a RAM issue, RAM usage never goes above ~19 GB on this PC.
It happens a tad bit slower than before, when I had 1060 6 GB.
I also noticed it on my laptop with integrated Intel GPU, but I don't have it anymore, so can't really check.

Could the message say "You must have xxx free disc space" rather than having to use the trial and error method. If this space is 'work space' could Thunderbird be instructed to use a drive other than C: for workspace.

Hello, I have been having connectivity issues for weeks now. I've asked for help here several times. Thunderbird still appears to have been corrupted.
I worked with ihot help yesterday and things were cleared - by matching their password with Thunderbird's new one, which appeared to fix the issue. Four days of emails appeared right after I did that.
Now today I discover I can't sent emails and the incoming is again broken.
When trying to reload TB, I always get the following message ( c- image) 137.01-2 corrupt image So I took my iMac to a repair shop and they ALSO got the same error message.

My Firefox keeps going down in my lower bar,it doesn't shut down or turn off it just keeps disappearing down in my lower bar and i have to click on it again to open the window back up on my desktop,it happens alot like several times while i'm doing anything and makes it difficult to do anything,like when i'm filling out applications my firefox browser just leaves my desktop and goes down into my lower bar and i have to click on it to bring it back to my desktop,i don't loose anything like when i'm filling out applications thank god,this has never happened to me before for all the years i've been using firefox,it doesn't happen at all when i open up my Microsoft Edge,how can i fix this without having to get rid of the browser and downloading it again and possibly losing all my bookmarks?
