Hi I am at my wits end here - The date in my Thunderbird is behind by 1 hour. This is affecting sent messages and also received messages.

This just started today. For over a year, the time has been correct. I have not changed any settings in Thunderbird prior to this issue.

My Win11 computer shows the date and time correctly.

I had a Win11 update yesterday. Not sure if that has affected Thunderbird (My province - Manitoba Canada - also stopped using daylight time changes in the last couple of months.) We are now permanently CDT, and is UTC/GMT -5 - which is what it shows in my Win11 setting.

My timezone and time in Win11 settings shows correctly.

Just to see if it would make a difference - In Win11 settings->Time & Language - I changed the time zone automatic to off (even tho the time zone showed correctly) and set it manually to UTC-5:00 Manitoba, - I changed 'Set Time automatically' to off, set the time manually and synced the time.

No difference with Thunderbird.

Why is my time off in Thunderbird?, and what can I do or check to fix this?

At Thunderbird > Settings > Privacy & Security > under Passwords > "View Saved Password", the dialog box pops up correctly. But the size of the box is so small the columns can't display the complete info i.e. username, password, or date. When I hover on the column divider I get the left/right sizing arrow but nothing happens when I click & drag the arrow. I am on Thunderbird 159. Thanks.

Hi everybody, after switching from microsoft ews to graph using exchange server any response on a e-mail is starting at the bottom. I would like to have my response editor on top above the attached e-mail I am responding to. All other e-mail accounts are working this way but not on the Microsoft Graph e-mail account. Could someone please help ? Regards Thomas

I'm not sure what to call the different parts of the compose-message window, so please look at the attached screenshot. I'd like to relocate some of the buttons from the top right corner to the lower left, below where the formatting buttons are. Is there a way to do so?

I'm not sure how to make a feature request, but here is one. Can it be made easier to sort message filters alphabetically? I currently have over two hundred of them, because each site I sign up for gets a unique email alias, and I set up associated filters for them (each goes into a dedicated folder in my Inbox). It's a pain to manually sort them in the list.

I'm using Thunderbird in the dark mode. When I open the detail of an event in the agenda, the text is still written in black, on a gray background so this is not really readable (cf linked screen shot)

At some points I had similar issue with mails, but I found the little button "toogle dark mode for mail" that allow to keep the dark mode for thuderbird but show the mail with white background and black text.

Is there a similar functionality for the agenda ?

I have a very long list of filters and would like to have the list alphabetized. Is there a way other than "move to [I don't know--bottom? top?]. An alphabetized list would certainly help. Thanks,

I’m looking for card body previews in the message list/card view, similar to seeing a short preview of the email body under the subject/sender. Is this feature currently available anywhere in Thunderbird?

If not, is it planned, and is there any estimated version or timeline for when it may be added?

Thunderbird (157.0.1 (64-bit)) write toolbar missing.

All things are correctly configured, as mentioned in this article, and nothing is working in making the Write (Compose) Formatting toolbar appear again.

Everything is set to compose in HTML format and the keyboard commands mentioned in other articles and so forth do nothing.

Is is perhaps a corrupted profile setting file somewhere? Is there a Config Editor setting that needs to/can be changed ?

Good day. Can you tell me where to get admx thunderbird management templates and a description of each policy? Is there any Russian language support in admx? There is more information in the official documentation on the use of the polices.json configuration file than admx. Thank you.

My list of folders on the left, and my list of inbox emails at the top, have both gone to double space. This takes up a lot of room, and I cant see everything I used to. How can I change them back to single space. I did use "control +" to try to make the body of the email bigger so that it's easier to read (aged 79), but the folders don't change when I reduce the font size.

I was very frustrated that in 156.0.1 (157 as of today) on Arch there is no option to minimize to tray when closing. Now i do not know what is the cause of this, but i was unable to find any working solution ... FOR A PROBLEM SOLVED ~12 YEARS AGO >:(. Eventually resigned to system solution using SysTray-X which eventually worked.

As per title, if I have a large enough distn list I get a warning bar (see image) with The x recipients in To and Cc will see each other's address. You can avoid disclosing by using Bcc instead. Then two options, which appears to require a response. ( I haven't tested not acknowledging it and sending a blank email to one of my large lists as I don't want to appear incompetent to all my work colleagues)

This helpful warning is (emotively) treating me like an idiot. I am well aware of the 3 categories and I know how to use them. I don't need to be told each time and have to choose. I don't need a warning, if I stuff up that's my problem.

The issue for me is that recently I have started to use some larger distn lists so it's occurring too frequently.

Have searched but so far missed any option or config setting to disable this. Can anyone please advise how to do so, if it is possible.

This isn't asking for a debate on whether or not it's a good idea to warn people who don't understand email sending options (you can guess my view but each to their own). I'm simply asking is there a way to turn this behaviour off and stop TB from wasting my time requiring a response.

I have been trying to find an help email address for Thunderbird, as my copy has changed the layout of my screen and dropped the email display window that normally displays the email I select BELOW the email list in a SPLIT SCREEN mode.

i'm using thunderbird for my email messaging. when i reply to an email, why doesn't it show up in the inbox along with received email i replied to? it is nice to see the whole thread at once.
