A substantial portion of email spam that I receive has a couple of characteristics: - the subject line includes "Sonic", and - the sender is plainly not Sonic.

For example:

I am wondering if it is possible to construct a filter that says basically: If Subject includes Sonic AND From does not include Sonic Then Send to Trash (or mark as spam or whatever)

Can this be done?

Cannot send email on Thunderbird suddenly. This happened after Thunderbird update on 7/16/26 or 7/17/2026. Also could not receive email on Thunderbird for two days after the update but that issue suddenly resolved itself after 2 days . Have tried to change the port but that has not helped. I use rcn.com We could not send or receive there either when I went on the server. Now rcn is working again on the server but cannot send using Thunderbird account.

If Thunderbird startup is stopped before tabs are loaded, they are lost. The tab fields at the top of the screen remain but they are empty. Evidently, tabs are stored only in a temporary location. This is a very annoying bug. Is there a way to recover them?

I've asked this question before, but have gotten no response. Maybe I'm not explaining it clearly enough. I will try again. When I name a new file folder, how do I get it in the correct alphabetical order? I end up making it a subfolder in under another incorrect folder or it does not get in correct alphabetical order. I hope this is clearer to understand. I just don't know how to make it any plainer. Thank you for your kind response.

very recently perhaps with a McAfee or Thunderbird update , I am seeing a message that McAfee stops a threat every time thunderbird does a message retrieval. see attachments. I have checked my outlook account directly and deleted a bunch of messages but it persists.

I find now that Thunderbird requires Earthlink's password each time an email is sent. Earlier it required it once a day. I am on Windows 11 using Earthlink.net for provider.

I'm having trouble with my provider when trying to send a message. I thought I'd save a draft and send it later -- after my provider problem is resolved. After "Save" ing it, my draft folder is empty. Tried this twice... same result.

Second issue: I am trying to convert to Linux. Currently I keep all my Thunderbird stuff on an encrypted disk (Dekart Prvdsk). while I can mount this drive and access this from within applications, PrvDsk will not allow me to copy the files to an unencrypted disk. Is there any way (like a tool) that I can use to export all my folders (everything in "Profiles\2kbxyxpa.default-release\Mail\shastaemail.com," not just the profile?

Hello. I regularly sign up for online conferences, then when I get the confirmation email with the details I can't transfer it to the calendar. I even tried saving the ical event separately but when I try opening it using Thunderbird I get an error message. The only way I found is to transfer the contents manually and create an event on calendar, which is time consuming. Anyone knows how to fix this? Thank you in advance

I can't find the "compose" button that used to be on the "home page" of my Thunderbird email. HELP! It shouldn't be so hard to perform a simple task but something has changed and I can't figure it out.

I am visually impaired and need to increase the font and make them clearer, but I can't find any help with that problem. I guess if you have problems seeing the page, there is nothing you can do to make it better.

Within the past day or so, which means 7-18-26 or later, some of my email messages on thunderbird for my pc have a "From" description that is not correct. I look at the messages, and the "From" is entirely different than the "From" description when looking at the email message list. I have never encountered this problem before. I'm using thunderbird 152.0.1 64-bit on my pc.

I’m reaching out because I’m having trouble with my Thunderbird email and need some assistance.

I was using Thunderbird without any issues before, but now all my old emails have disappeared. I can still receive new messages, but I’m unable to send emails like I used to. I also can’t recover or view any of my previous emails.

It seems like something may have reset or become corrupted, and I’m not sure how to restore my old messages or fix the sending issue.

Could you please help me get Thunderbird working properly again and recover my old emails if possible?

Hi, I'm using Version 140.12.1e (64b). Is there any way to block and delete undesirable E-Mails om my Incoming box ? Even while being marked 'Undesirable', they stil coming again. Is there a way to erase them automatically ? Many thanks, Have a good day, Dan

I have changed Thunderbird E-mail account from IMAP to POP3. My question is, How do I get all my E-mail folders from the IMAP into the new POP3 account. Nothing followed the changed accounts formats.

Some Fonts in different Thunderbird 'panes' are unreadable without zooming in. The {body} of a reply is very small (see font-size-body--Rev3-07-19-2026_01.jpg below) The image will show the cursor at top left of Body.

I did search here but nothing of this nature it. So here is my question:

QUESTION: Is there a way to edit a config file or the likes to set fonts to be responsive (like a web site is same in any size screen and compensates for size?
