Can't close/delete calendar notifications

In Thunderbird 128.8.1esr (32-bit) Danish language version, on Windows 10, when a list of past notifications pops up, I cannot close them. Whether I use "Turn off" individual notifications one by one, or "Turn all off", nothing happens, except the first time I try, I can see at the bottom left of the screen that communication takes place with the server. But the notification doesn't disappear. On following attempts, nothing happens at all, until I restart Thunderbird, then again I get a long list of notifications from the past that have never been turned off.

As for individual notifications popping up at the scheduled time, I can mostly, but not always, turn them off.

The calendars are no google servers. The problem started occurring 2-3 months ago.

What to do?

Thunderbird is set as my default email client on my desktop Windows 10 in the default apps and it's set in the Default Programs control panel but when I try to send a document on my desktop to mail recipient, a message comes up saying there is no email program associated to perform the requested action. It is set in Thunderbird as well as the default mail client. Cortana is no longer accessible on Windows 10 on my pc. Thunderbird is set as the email client in the registry settings, I have only a few Startup programs running on startup and cleared the cache in Thunderbird so I don't know what else to do to fix this?

After a disaster last October appearing after a macOS update, I have been working to get back to where all is normal. Apple asked me to erase and reinstall macOS. I was using TBird (some struggles) right up to doing the erase. My question:

Is there some data in the backup ups of the profiles that identifies the TBird version that was last using the profile?

This might also help me: is there is some data in the .app files that identifies what version of TBird the Package "file" is for.

message d'erreur suivant: " Connexion au serveur impossible. La configuration, l'identifiant ou le mot de passe sont incorrectes".

Est-ce que cela proviendrait du fait que l'adresse mail est configurée avec un deuxième facteur (2FAS) ?

Si oui, comment procéder ? Toutes mes adresses mails sont paramétrées avec un deuxième facteur d'authentification (2FAS).

I am using Thunderbird as an email server. From time to time I navigate to the 'roaming' folder and save the 'Thunderbird' folder as a backup. I could then rename the old back-up file to 'Thunderbird' and read the old emails. That has always worked in the past, but since I have had to change email platform that doesn't seem to work any more. So how can I set thunderbird to view these old emails?

This is a question about the All Mail folder and the Important folder. I wasn't able to find out in the documentation.

There are more emails in the All Mail and Important folders than can be accounted for in my archives, send and received folders. I counted 545 in my archives. I have 14 in my inbox and 51 in sent mail. I therefore have 610 emails in total. The Trash is empty.

There are 852 emails in the All Mail folder, and 550 in Important. The totals don't match up to anything. I find this confusing.

In the Important folder, only 2 are actually tagged as Important. What are all of the other emails doing there? Can I safely delete them? If any of them are also in my archives, will they also be deleted from there, or are they safe? Does the same go for the All Mail folder?

Problems with connection to Xfinity email. Will not connect when using the windows desktop version. I have no problems (currently) with the mobile version. both have the same setting but for some reason the Desktop version will not accept the password provided. Cleared the cache on the desktop and still no connection to xfinity. connection stopped 6/2/2025 around noon eastern time US. Any suggestions?

Every time I try to sign into my email I get a message that says I can't sign in and to retry or cancel or something. I can see my emails on the ifiber page on the internet but not on my email computer. I also have some vision problems so it's difficult to troubleshoot on the computer. I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

After changing from POP to IMAP to fix the earlier delivery problem, I have lost the existing file structure, filters, etc. Comcast email is coming in fine but there are only 6 folders while there should be 47 and all the filters s are gone. I have tried rebuilding the current global-messages-db.sqlite file but it stops after 12 hours and was only 10% finished at 2 GB instead of the prior anticipated 16 GB. I run TB 139.01 under Windows 11/64...

About a week ago, I started to see "Blue Dots" appearing to the left of each paragraph in my messages. In the hope of removing those dots, I've tried all of the suggestions I can find, but they still appear.

Might you suggest a method that will prevent the dreaded Blue Dots from appearing?
