Repeated request for Google login for calendar

For the last two days, every time I start Thunderbird, a pop-up requests me to log in into Google Calendar. I have followed what little advice I can find:

  • Unsubscribed/deleted all calendars
  • Deleted all Gmail Accounts
  • Deleted all saved passwords, and re-entered them only for my current email accounts.

How do I get rid of this irritating and unnecessary pop-up? I have updated to v128.14 but the problem persists.

Unified Folders not working properly, no unified Inbox

This morning I realised I did not have a Unified Sent folder. There was a Sent folder in my list of folders in the Unified Folders section but there were no child folders and it was empty when I clicked on it. The Unified Folders for Inbox and Deleted were fine and I could click the arrow and select individual email accounts, it was only the Sent folder which was affected.

I tried numerous things, including clicking on each email account's Sent folder and clicking on 'Repair' and I think this iis what fixed it and now I have child folders in Sent and that seems to be working correctly... BUT now my Unified Inbox has disappeared!!! There is a folder called Inbox in the Unified Folders list but it is empty. If I right-click on it, there is no option to 'choose' any folders. I've tried clicking on each inbox and clicking repair (as this seemed to fix the sent folder issue), but it had no effect. I've renamed my virtualFolder.DAT to virtualFolder.old and I can see a new virtualFolder has been created, nothing has worked. Can anyone please help??

The Thundebird calendar in month/week view cannot display a full week next to each other. (full width image attached) No matter what I tried. I tried to minimize the left panel (left panel minimized image attached). That barely gives me the saturday added. But still no sunday. If I select a specific sunday from the list of events above, then the whole panel moves to the right, thereby hiding the monday (attached image shifted right) I have even tried to decrease the font used

Is there any way to get all 7 days visible? Is there some magic trick to decrease the width of the week/month view. Why is this not a dynamic view? Workweek = 5 days, week = 7 days

Hi! I'm hoping you can help me! I use Thunderbird, and have for many years, and I love it. My computer is on its last legs, and I'm trying to save up for a new one, but, yesterday I did something possibly stupid... (yeah, I know, you NEVER get people asking for help who've done stupid things, so this will be unusual... lol). Anyway... I turned my computer on and got a popup saying that my Thunderbird needs an update and it's been a while since I updated, so I hit OK on the update... Well, my arsehole of a computer chose that exact minute to shit itself and die. When I tried restarting it, my Thunderbird no longer works. Now I have a popup with a big red X that says "The installation seems to be corrupt. Please check your hardware and disk setup and/or re-install." Can you help me? I desperately need to check my email and have one I need to send. I don't know what to do. I've also got YEARS worth of emails sitting in the system, so I can't risk losing them, either. Please help. Thunderbird IMAP on Yahoo mail - how do I ensure that *all* folders, messages and attachments downloaded - with one command???

I'm using Thunderbird 149.02 to make a local copy of all folders, messages and attachments on my yahoo mail account. I don't yet see an obvious way to issue a command to Thunderbird to accomplish this.

I'm using export.imap.mail.yahoo.com as the IMAP server as some of the folders have >10000 messages (none have >100000 messages, and there is no significant real-time email arriving to the account while I do this procedure.)

In settings/offline settings I have "automatically follow detected online state" and "download messages for offline use when going offline [yes].

In account settings/synchronization & storage I have Disk space: Synchronize all messages locally regardless of age"; "to recover disk space, old messages can be permanently deleted..." I have "Don't delete any messages" and "Always keep starred messages"

With these settings, I've tried (from the main menu) File -> Offline > Download/Sync now, then "Download and/or sync..." I have selected Mail Messages, and the Select button takes me to a table where I have selected the main account folder and all sub-folders.

With these settings, Thunderbird appears to go through some of the folders and downloads messages from, them, and after a while says there are no new messages (I don't have the specific text, but it ceases interacting with the server". If I repeat the Download/Sync now procedure, it appears to download more messages, will continue for a while, then stop in the same way.

When I compare the size of Thunderbird's local account folder, it appears to grow after each of these iterations, but is (after half dozen cycles through this) has only reached about 2/3 of the total stoage size reported by Yahoo. While I understand the storage mechanisms would differ significantly between yahoo and Thunderbird, I don't believe I've found a single sure-fire way to accomplish what I set out to do in the first place (which is get a complete copy, through IMAP, of all emails, folders and attachments.

What am I missing?

Firebird is so slow now, that I can rarely receive the code that you send me. Have to take annother programm for that. Freezes even when trying to mark a mail or erasing it. WIN 11.

Firebird is so slow now, that I can rarely receive the code that you send me. Have to take annother programm for that. Freezes even when trying to mark a mail or erasing it. WIN 11. The programm is working well at my wifes laptop also WIN 11. 2 month ago it worked fast and fine. Working in Troubleshooting mode does not show any spam ordner like before and it does not run better. I also downloaded the last version. No change! I would like to uninstall the programm but did not dare due to perhaps loose all my mails. Could you help me please? Thank you!

I recently moved from macos to linux and noticed that Thunderbird always reloads one account on startup -- by that I mean that, when I open TB, three out of four accounts display immediately, but the fourth one takes a moment, and then all its folders start appearing in the left-hand-side column. I had a look around and saw something about the .msf file being broken, with a solution being to delete it and let it be rebuilt. I headed to my profile folder but I now see that, in the ImapMail folder, the three accounts that appear immediately have their respective folders and .msf file, but not the account that reloads every time. I tried clicking on "repair" on the (unified) inbox, I tried checking the settings, but am not seeing anything that helps. Any ideas?

Have been using Thunderbird and Firefox for decades, naturally, and have several email accounts. Within each account, I'm a prolific user of folders within the respective Inboxes. For years, these folders have remained in Alphabetical Order, as when they were set up. Recently, however, for no reason that I can suss, the sub-folders in the Inbox of one of my accounts have been gone "all agley", ie. they're listed all higgledy-piggledy in random order. This isn't a problem for my message filter - but it's a real problem for me, having to scan down a very long, disorganised list to find any particular folder I want to open. I've searched for an instruction to instruct Thunderbird to arrange the Folders in my Inbox in Alphabetical Order and can't find anything. Can anyone help me, please. Thunderbird version is 1.52.0

Since this morning (8:00 CET) I have to enter password for my google calendar every time I start Thunderbird. No matter what authentication options I choose, calendar manager keeps asking me to authenticate. "Don't ask again" is turned on. Gmail is set up as OAuth for both incoming and outgoing servers, and it works fine.

Things I've tried since:

- Removed legacy connection in password manager, when I was using IMAP to connect to Gmail - Revoked OAuth permission from google account for Calendar and from Thunderbird password manager - Unsubscribed from calendars and added them again after restarting Thunderbird

I don't know what more to do. Also, I don't know what happened, really, as it worked properly last night.

TB slow to download emails, now locks up when I click to open one

Other than being slow to download my emails now for a few months, TB was performing well until a week or so ago. Now it also won't open the downloaded email when I click on it and the TB freezes up so I can't close it out. I have tried restarting computer multiple times and it works for one or two emails that I can open and then starts freezing up again. Makes using it almost impossible. I have security Windows 11 Defender only and have had it the entire time when it also worked well.

With 03.04.2026 they began to notice that the attached emails in eml format (the attached emails have attached documents, mostly pdf) sent from yandex mail stopped opening. Everything used to open well. Eml also does not save to disk. If you send the same files via Gmail, everything opens. Program version 150.0.1
