Hi,

The question may asked for a lot but... I have a Mozilla account with about 1000 bookmarks, years of hystory and tons of passwords, in brief, i'm locked to Mozilla ecosystem.

Someone gifted me an ipad, so my first thing is to install FF on this to enjoy the web as i like (without ads btw).

As always on new devices, i've looking for uBlock Origin wich is the only serious adblocker on the market.

What a deception to see that it's not possible to install any extension on IOS...

Yes, i can use the ublock "extension" for Safari but then i cannot sync with my other devices.

Guys i dont know what to do, all my data is on my Mozilla account because i trusted them for years, but my iPad suddendly goes unusable because the web with ads is unusable and the web witout my Mozilla account is unusable.

What about a fork with uBlock integrated by default ?

On IOS, for the last few days, the syncing of my profile has been failing, because of a timeout.

I have gone so far as to delete my many year-old Firefox Sync profile and rebuild it from scratch, reconnecting various machines. I have also carefully examined said profile, bookmarks, etc. I am unsure of what the timeout issue is, and whether it can be addressed, or of whether my particular use-case is no longer suitable (over the last few days) from Firefox Sync, which is one key reason I've been using Firefox more or less since inception.

Any advice, or is there a bug in the Sync back or front-end?

Websites open with extremely large text with text over riding each other. Using plus or minus changed size but it is still distorted with portion of text and photos partially on top of each other. No problem using Safari but I have used Firefox for years and would like to keep it.

Starting with iOS 26.4, Firefox for iOS no longer connects to my internal HTTPS website. Safari connects with no problems.

I have a Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory network, and my internal web server is running on Windows Server 2019 Essentials, and uses a self-signed security certificate.

When I try to connect to the web server from my iPhone, all I get is a blank screen. Swiping down to refresh does nothing. I have no problems connecting to any other website with Firefox. As I mentioned earlier, Safari connects to my website with out issue.

Any suggestions?

Hello when downloading Firefox meet Apple iPhone App Store using iOS 16 it's an iPhone 8 when signing in specific password, however gave me the option to sign in with apple does that generate its own private relay email that will sync both fire fox with my iCloud back ups or do I have to go to sign in on my account generate a pacific password and then accounts.firefox.com with the generated password? And is there a good browser extension to use with my Windows HP for is thinking everything

I saw plenty of threads and bug reports about this issue from 2022 and 2023. When I was using Firefox about 2 years ago on iOS, I uninstalled it for this very reason.

I can't believe devs have closed bug fix reports with "no plan to fix" for this issue all the way back in 2023.

REALLY REALLY unacceptable from a browser that's supposed to be a main stream browser. I don't like Safari at all, and refuse to use Google anything so will not use Chrome. Where does that leae me with a decent browser? Nowhere. I love FF on desktop and have been using it for years.

It's mind-blowing that I have to open the tabs section and go back and try to locate the page I was on after simply switching to another app for a second. Who ever heard of such nonsense. Yet it's been being reported for YEARS and the developers refuse to think it's important enough to put some time into fixing.
