my pc had friend so when i got a new one i lost all of my firefox data, how can i get all of it back so i was forced to start all over, i lost all my, bookmarks, tabs, history and saved passwords

Hello! Since the most recent firefox update, my settings and extensions have been inaccessible to me due to my firefox account profile being "old." It has been working perfectly until this update, where if I try to change my profile to my old one, it forces me to create a new one which does not include my saved addons, settings, or bookmarks sometimes. I really need access to some of these things, so it would be great if someone can help me to recover it. I tried to troubleshoot by finding my extensions local folder from my old profile, and I copied it to a new profile, but it didn't work. I am also wondering, if I do copy the extensions successfully, how can I also copy the settings preferences? Any solution is appreciated, thank you!

I decided to clean up my password file and get rid of hundreds of logins that were no longer active.

I exported the passwords to logins.csv and Removed all passwords from Lockwise. Then I imported the CSV file into a spreadsheet and edited the file, and exported a new copy of logins.csv.

Since FF Lockwise would not allow import from csv files, I imported the csv file into Chrome, then I opened FF and Imported passwords from Chrome. This was successful, with a total of 592 passwords imported.

But every time I close FF the next time I open it, all passwords are gone. The logins.json file and the logins-backup.json file are in the profiles folder C:\Users\Jerry\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\04bmixuw.default.

I turned off SYNC but this didn't help; I turned SYNC back ON but it didn't help either.

This is now driving me crazy. Can anyone explain how to stop this insanity?

FYI I tried to upload images but the Upload Image feature never worked. Little circle kept spinning.

For the second time in the last two weeks, Firefox has deleted all my saved passwords when the program has updated. This happens frequently and is REALLY ANNOYING. How do I stop it? I am now going to restore the files from back up, about half an hour wasted.

Hey, All of the saved logins and passwords are gone while the bookmarks remain.

I noticed that logins and passwords disappeared after the computer turned off unexpectedly due to low battery and unstable power connection couple times in a few minute interval.

How do I get back logins and passwords?

When newest FF version opens, it cannot see any of the data that is in each of my three older profiles. I've switched to each one and each one appears empty with the new version. Is there some new step to take in this version when switching profiles? How to bring an older version of Firefox and older profiles from Backup to replace what's now unworkable... and regain my important data? Thank you for your timely, much needed help.

Hello, Every time I restart Firefox or it crashes or power cuts or anything, place.sqlite file gets corrupted and I have to replace the new file with the .corrupt file. This has been happening for over a year now, but my computer is always on and I turn it off maybe once every 4-5 months unless I'm forced to restart by a software or by power cuts or stuff. Lately I have been having issues with my Windows and I have to restart my computer quite often and it is very annoying. This happens whether I close Firefox with the X or using the Exit button or even if I keep it open and restart the computer. My places file is 75MBs. I have the same one since 2014. I'm using Windows 10 and latest Firefox edition. Any ideas?

I am a senior user and need assistance. I am unable to clear history. I followed directions sent by Fred McD, and inadvertently removed my profile. I have saved the profile, but cannot open Firefox replace the profile information. Can someone help?

Also, if someone should ask a question, how do I reply?

I have stored some password with my account. Recently from past couple of days all passwords got cleared and not no passwords are shown. Could you please let me know what needs to be done.

I've been dealing with the error I wrote in the title in the Linux version of your web browser for a while. When I "right click + open in new tab" on any bookmark, that bookmark is deleted.

So my browser pages weren't loading so I went to my windows 10 settings app and went to "Apps" and then I clicked on FireFox to uninstall it but it gave me an option to "Refresh" it and so I did that and it fixed the issue I was having but ALL my tabs are gone and I NEED them back. Please tell me there's a way to get them back. I think I even had important ones to. ;-; ;'(

This is not a request for help but a comment on the new version of Firefox. Today a new version of FF was installed on my computer and it wiped out ALL my passwords for EVERY account I own - personal and business. I am extremely pissed off because I have to reset all my passwords (which will take days)! For now on when you offer a new version of FF, warn the individual to back up their passwords and user names.

The question is am I going to keep using FF or just start fresh with another browser to avoid this headache in the future.

hi I've made a grave mistake, in a hurry I was in need of something from my mozilla account, so I hastely logged in but couldn't so I changed my password since I had access to my email but I lost all my data.....and I do have my mozilla keys for this account. plz tell me there is a way to recover my data for the love of god btw, I didn't see no warning in the reset my password page about losing my data WTH tnx

I reinstalled windows on my pc. After reloading Firefox I signed in and not all my bookmarks were there. I clicked on restore/import. There was only 1 date available. Jan 5. I clicked it and now all my bookmarks are gone. I have gone through the help and still no luck. How can I get my bookmarks back?

Today I got a notification that wanted me to reset my profile for security reasons. I didn't know this change would require me to reset my password and that I would lose everything on my account. Is there a way to retrieve my account settings, such as bookmarks? Thanks.
