I've messed around with the UI a bit and now the firefox tools, which used to be vertically stacked on top of each other with text next to them, are a horizontal row of icons at the bottom of the bar. See images for comparison. I've not found a way to get them back to how they were in settings, sidebar settings or about:config.

Facebook causes firefox to give the message "this page is slowing firefox down" ONLY FACEBOOK! I have tried clearing the cache/browser cookies etc. and have had an update yesterday but it still slows.Working fine on all other sites except FB?

With latest Firefox Desktop 141.0 I found an odd behavior of pinned tabs which now are scrolling left and disappear from view site in a top tab bar.

• Is this a new feature or bug?
• Any setting to prevent them from scrolling?
• How to prevent this from happen?

Screen popped up invite to customize tab I added a picture, then I tried to play tetris type game and the cursor jumps around so much I can't play it. I don't understand techie stuff and do not know how to undo this change

So, I'm going to pre-empt this by saying that I know what I am asking sounds crazy, so please do not call "the blue bus" quite yet. Please let me explain.

I use a browser for intranet work only. It's firefox, because frankly its all things that ARE NOT Google, nor Microsoft. Obviously Firefox will not let me remove all search engines, nor will any other Browser that *I* know of. Perhaps the community can advise me otherwise.

I also need to explain that when I say intranet, its not everything in one place, but everything is connected in one big widespread private network, access via putty or vpn. As such, the IP range is always private but over a number of subnets, all reachable from my location, which in many cases is remote access.

Having a search engine active means that if I enter something wrong in the IP addressing, it goes hunting and brings up search results. A 404 error would be far more appropriate.

So great and wider community of educated persons, I come to you one and all, and ask whether there is any way (mozilla approved or otherwise) that I can completely disable all searches in firefox ( My preferred browser as I have internet access options that are local to firefox, whereas other browsers who shall remain nameless rely on global access settings) or, as much as I have to ask, an alternative intranet only browser that could fulfil me requirements.

I'm hopeful that I have included enough information ( have to comply with my NDA here) that will allow you all to either laugh at me, or offer some nuggets of wisdom.

Normal downloads are saved in my "saved files" folder but screenshots are written to system "downloads" folder and i can't set them to be saved i "saved files". This happens even on clean new profile. I'm on Linux Mint Xia. Thanks for any advice.

Summary: intent:// or similar custom protocols fail silently or trigger system error on Windows

Description:

On Windows 10/11 using the latest Firefox (v128+), protocol links like intent:// now result in a system-level error: "This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action..." This happens when a website (e.g., Shopify) redirects to such links to trigger app permission flows or open deep links. Chrome and Edge handle these gracefully — Firefox either does nothing or passes them to Windows, which throws an error.

Firefox used to ignore or fallback gracefully on these links, but that behavior appears broken or removed as of recent updates.

Steps to Reproduce:

   Visit a Shopify App Store app page as a collaborator

   Click “Request Access”

   Observe the system error popup

Can protocol handling or fallback behavior be restored for unsupported protocols?

Recently installed Astrill VPN on my Windows PC. When the VPN is off, Firefox is not working and does not access Internet. But when the VPN is on, Firefox on Windows desktop PC works fine. How to make Firefox work when VPN is OFF?

Hi ! as you can see in my screenshot, the buttons for the history and chatbot are not vertical but horizontal. Is it possible to restore the previous display with these buttons? I'm using firefox 141.0.

Please see this video. Double-clicking can only close the foreground tab. If I double-click the background tab, it will become the foreground tab, and double-clicking it multiple times in a short period of time will not close it. I have to wait about one second after stopping clicking the left mouse button before I can double-click it again to close it. Some Chromium-based browsers do not have this issue, and each of their tabs can be closed by double-clicking I can only show it with video. Please leave a message if you can't see the video.

I made the mistake to following Mozilla's advice on why my tabs stopped coming back after I closed out, despite the fact that I had that selected in my settings. Now I'm stuck with an "Old Firefox Data" folder on my desktop and I can't remove it because I need administrator privileges -- but it's my personal PC. WTF

Payment autofill fails (other autofill works) I can see the payment methods, and when I select one, it briefly fills the content then it disappears. I have reinstalled, and logged out and back into Firefox.
