I would like to disable some built in hotkeys: for switching to the previous and next tabs (Ctrl+PgUp and Ctrl+PgDn), I want to rebind them to F6 and F7; for closing the current tab (Ctrl+W), I want to rebind it to F4; for duplicating the current tab (Ctrl+Shift+T), I want to rebind it to F8.

I've learned that you can do this by using autoconfig from here , but I don't know how to specifically setup the autoconfig file to find the right keyconfigs. Does anybody have a solution for this?

RTX VSR still doesn't work at all. I have version 130 of firefox and no VSR. I've tried it on chrome and no issues there, it just works. I've always enjoyed using firefox and it bugs me that apparently this feature was added in update 126. Moreover there is multiple threads giving advice on how to get it working, I've tried all the methods and even then still haven't been able to use VSR on firefox.

for me, about:profiles currently shows my profile in use as:

Profile: Joey This is the profile in use and it cannot be deleted. Default Profile yes Root Directory C:\Users\Joey\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\7agyzsl4.Joey 10 Local Directory C:\Users\Joey\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\7agyzsl4.Joey 10 1. why does it say "Profile: Joey" when the profile filename is "Joey 10"?

2. I want it to say "Profile: Joey 10", or for that value to MATCH the filename of the root or local directory.

    What do I need to do?

Lately receiving annoying pop-ups from 123greetings that have nothing to do with greeting cards. Appear every time i turn on computer and on every site i engage. Says they are "via Firefox".Thats why im turning to you for help.I am not technically oriented, so stating the solution as simple as possible would be appreciated. (I had a 123greetings account, which I deleted in hopes of getting rid of them. No luck.) Thanks for your help.

PS-Recent scan from Malwarebytes suggested 2 pups??? but they were quarantined. Problem persists.

Good day, i was installing a fresh windows on my pc and planning to sync my bookmarks but i accidentally sync a new set of bookmarks to my account, now all my OLD bookmarks are gone, can i still retrieve or recovery my old bookmarks?

I've been struggling with this issue for a few months. After Firefox updates, my toolbar layout gets reset and I have to re-do it from scratch. If that wasn't bad enough, occasionally when this happens it also enters this state where nothing loads. All tabs just get stuck in blank screen "dancing dot mode". Yes, google, everything. To "fix" this, I go into troubleshoot mode, and back to normal again, and then it's "fixed"... until it happens again a few days later. I can actually rebuild my toolbar layout in under 15 seconds now, I've done it so many times. I've tried doing the 'refresh'. Many times. I've fully uninstalled and re-installed Firefox. I uninstalled plugins that I suspected might be the cause. Nothing worked. At best these measures kept firefox stable a couple of weeks longer. I actually gave up and tried other browsers for a while. Any insight is appreciated.

I tried to download something from this website https://www.maxon.net/en/article/stamp-your-footage-onto-any-3d-solid?srsltid=AfmBOoqo9m0rrsDYUvZzXpyTs1uLPotn8tBr03C5c9iLl7mydQIP3AVM and told Firefox to save it to my dropbox desktop app. Some weird warning popped up about the fire path being invalid or something like that. So now when I go back and tryto choose a different download location, it wont download at all. I definitely remember having this same exact issue months ago and don't remember the solution. please help

Normally with a Firefox update, the 'Your Firefox has been updated' page is shown once. But after update 130.0, I can't get rid of it . Of course I can open a New tab but I'd rather not see this page at all: it has annoying graphics showing tips that i dont want!

Hi, on my husband's laptop (but not mine!) when he does a Google search in Firefox, he sees the search text (e.g., "funny cat videos") in the address bar, not the URL for the Google search. He used to be able to copy the search URL to share it with people, but isn't able to do that anymore (except from the History section, which is a bit of a pain.)

I searched the Internet for solutions and someone suggested "Show search terms instead of URL on default search engine results page" in Settings, but I can't find that setting anywhere! Any pointers about either finding that setting or another way to get back to what he had before?

The attached image shows what he WANTS to see, instead of the search text. This works fine for me!

A few days ago, I updated from Firefox Desktop Version 115.14.0 EXT to Firefox Desktop Version 115.15.0 EXT. I believe the latest update has a BUG that is causing problems with my Security software. I just spent more than two hours with the Security software's Tech Support Team. They were not able to find any errors on their side. Then it occurred to me that the Security software issues began AFTER I installed the latest Firefox Desktop Version 115.15.0 EXT. How can I re-Install Firefox Desktop Version 115.14.0 EXT?

Recently I found I can't view video clips on MSN, white rotating circle around Play button. U tube videos are no problem. I can view video clips on Safari, but Firefox is my preference. I have an Imac running Sonoma 14.6.1

I am unable to see anything on X / twitter. Windows 11. This is a continual problem with my laptop and my desktop (Windows 10). I have Firefox set on Standard tracking, and have added x.com and twitter.com as exceptions. Please fix this so that I can access my x.com account.

I think Firefox used to be the best browser on the planet. However lately: Firefox has been randomly shutting down. Usually while I'm typing a comment or a reply to some comment.

Just tonight, I tried to buy a box of Bibles from the Gideons International, and when I clicked the Place Order button, nothing happened. I started the crappy Chrome browser, went to the Gideon website and created an order. When I clicked Place Order, it 'thought' for a few seconds and then said "Order Complete".

Quite often, when I click on a link, I receive a message telling me Firefox cannot connect to that site. Again, if I use Chrome, or even Brave, the link goes right through.

Months ago, I never had these problems. Are you people in the business of screwing up the best browser ever invented? Put Firefox back like it was when it worked.
