A few weeks ago, a problem occurred for the first time. Each time I now open Thunderbird it downloads all 6,500 message headers in my in-box. It takes only a few seconds but it tiresome. I have searched for a solution online and several people had previously suggested removing a certain file from within the application. However, I couldn't find the file anywhere. I am afraid I have forgotten the name of the file that was mentioned.

I recently installed OWL (paid) software and this might have something to do with it but I cannot see an obvious way of removing OWL to check what happens afterwards.

Does anyone have any helpful suggestions? I am using Version 78.12.0 (64-bit) on Windows 7 Home Basic Version 6.1

Thanks in advance! Dr Colin Kirkpatrick

is the account in question the one powered by OWL as an exchange account? My guess is it probably is and you need to seek support from the owl authors. on their support site.

Hi Matt,

Thank you for your helpful response. Yes, it is an exchange account. I will contact the OWL people today and see if they can shed some light on the issue. Have a good day!

Best wishes Colin Kirkpatrick
