TB updated, version 38.7 with a few add-ons: + color folders + edit email subject + highlight text + lightning + lookout + messagesnotesplus

three requests:

- a customer informs that a mail sent to his customer was received with a strange attachment "part1.2.3" that actually was a PDF file, a supplier price list; apart the fact that from the trading point of view is was quite a disaster, question is what the hell is such attachment? where does it come from? how can I check that TB will not put random attachments in some mails? the customer says that the mail didn't have any attachment when was sent...

- consequently, in addition to the well-known ctrl-shift-enter to send "later", is there any option to send *always* later, keeping TB online, without strange plug-ins or add-ons? it would be fine to have a while, tho re-check it, before the mail goes...

- and last, how can I find all the mails related to a particular message, i.e. replies and forwards? referring to the a.m. issue, we find a mail - mid of January - that had the PDF file we talked about (the PDF had a completely different name, surely not part1.2.3) so we would like to find all related mails

Thank you

Part files are files embedded, I assume their was an image in the sugnature, as that is the usual way they get in.

The answer is to disable automatic compacts. As I understand the bug, when a automatic compact occurs it changes the internal references to the email and it's images. The result can in exceptional circumstances be what you see.

The rest of our ask is not possible without add-ons... but then Thunderbird is designed to be enhanced by add-ons and new features that are available as add-ons get basically Zero traction.
