I just downloaded Firefox 8.0.x but it hasn't installed. How do I install it to replace my version 3.x.x?

I'm MS Windows. See, Firefox usually says "hey, we've go a file here. Do you want to update?" When I downloaded 8.0.x, it didn't ask. I probably could probably install it manually but I don't want both versions of Firefox on my computer.

you can get firefox 8 from here and simply install on top of 3.6
