I am connected to the interent but Firefox stopped working. It will not open any web site. My Interent Explorer is working.

Every website I try to open gives the standard message "the website is temporarily unavailable ....... " yet interent explorer opens all sites

I have the same problem but can go on to some websites but not others. I have tried what was suggested about clearing recent history and also the proxy server but it hasn't resolved the problem.
