I like to start session with multiple tabs using lines in a .bat file:

start "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" "http://www.cnn.com"

start "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" "http://www.foxnews.com"

"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" "http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/"

BUT, receive popup message that Windows cannot find the first argument listed, the "http://www.cnn.com" yet firefox does open the web page after I respond to the popup message to dismiss it. Ver 3 of Firefox did work just fine, but Ver 4 does not work as cleanly.

Got this message out of Outlook after clicking on the link contained in the message informing me of a reply posted to the question. It appears that Firefox may be taking too long to come up in terms of Windows XP PRO SP3 expectations. The link does come up successfully in Firefox. Suspect that there is a glitch in Windows itself - no surprise here.
