I have a duplicate Firefox profile folder in a different location

Lately I've realized that I have a duplicate folder of both my Firefox 3.6.x profiles, there are two in C:\Documents and Settings\Local settings\Application data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles and two identically named in :C:\Documents and Settings\Application data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles ,but their content is different, the ones in the first location just have these files XUL.mfl,XPC.mfl,urlclassifier3.sqlite and OfflineCache, the ones in the second location appear to be complete profile folders - is all this normal?

Everything works as expected,I also have other versions of Firefox up and running (4RC and Minefield),the only glitch I've experienced is that I can't launch Firefox with the -P [ profile name] option, only -profile [profile path] will work.

That is normal, one is the profile folder, the other is where Firefox stores the cache (equivalent to temporary internet files)

C:\Documents and Settings\Application data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles - This is the profile folder

C:\Documents and Settings\Local settings\Application data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles - This is the cache

Thank you,is Firefox 4 different in this regard, since I don't see any equivalent folders stored in the same "C:\Documents and Settings\Local settings\Application data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles" directory?

Firefox has used different locations for the profile folder and the cache since Firefox 1.5
