I can't bring up window to choose folder to store bookmark

After upgrading to Firefox v.3.6.12 when I want to bookmark an URL, I can no longer bring up the window that lets me select a folder. The bookmark is simply stored at the top level every time. I have tried completely de-installing, deleting Mozilla folder, restarting and reloading my bookmark file but no change. I have imported my bookmark file to V.3.5.3 of Firefox on another PC and it works fine.

Do you have the McAfee Site Advisor extension installed in Firefox??

If so, disable it.

Yes I did. I have now disabled it and Firefox is working correcrly again. Wow! I would never have thought of that! Thank you so much. I was almost giving up. Merry Christmas
