If you want to stay on 140.Xesr, you'll get updates for latest 140esr offered in your "Firefox" › "About Firefox" panel.
If you want to keep using the yearly ESR cycle and just move to its current 153.Xesr pick your language on firefox.com/download/all/desktop-esr/osx and then select "Download 153.X.0" button.
If you want to move to the current 15X release, just download the installer from firefox.com home page and if you get a clean new profile after start, see Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles how to select your original profile to use in the new release version.
The upcoming Firefox 140.17.0 ESR is the last planned update for the older Firefox 140 ESR as the next update after that will be to be updated to Firefox 153.5.0esr as Fx 140 ESR will be EOL.
