How do I turn on the "Show Passwords" button?

When I highlighted the password, it gave me only choices to edit or copy password and the only way I know how to delete a password is to click, "Remove All" and now the "Show Password" button is grayed out.

That's not normal. How long has this been going on? What version of Thunderbird? What is your operating system?

The first thing to try is to restart Thunderbird in Troubleshoot Mode (see Help | Troubleshoot Mode). This will restart Thunderbird with all add-ons temporarily disabled, in case one of them is misbehaving.
