Using Firefox on Windows 10 when I try to sign in on my desktop to www.sog.org.uk access is blocked saying it is not an encrypted site but I can access it with no trouble on my laptop where it is a secure site..
Can you explain why the desktop and laptop are different both using Firefox and how can I remove the problem on the desktop.

I have several versions of Firefox and had no problem.
Make sure you are not blocking content.

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
