Hi, currently I opened many tabs in Firefox with tree style tab. Recently I found that my session not restore to the point I closed it but the specific time. (In this case, the session I close on 2020/03/12). For the tab I opened/closed after that seems not be stored. I also checked and found that the sessionstore.jsonlz4 was not updated. As my knowledge that this file should be removed when Firefox executed but it seems not. I may wish to ask if there is any solution to fix this problem while keep my current open tabs. Thanks for the help.

You may have corrupt sessionstore [v56] sessionstore.jsonlz4 file(s). Delete all sessionstore* files and the sessionstore-backups folder.

Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder

Linux: Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Directory. To its right press the button Open Directory.

Locate the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.

Don't delete the files if you need to rescue any data from them, just move them out of the profile folder to some location where Firefox doesn't look for them. You can try to read out their contents using this tool: https://www.jeffersonscher.com/res/scrounger.html

Hi FredMcD,

Thank you for the response. It seems works when I delete all sessionstore files. Although it seems like Firefox resume the session to some status long ago but the sessionstore files lookis like generated normally. I think I will try your suggestion for my backup session file to resume the tab status.

Thank you very much.
