PLEASE!!! I need to change the frequency of Calender Reminders!

I really appreciate the "REMINDERS" function of Thunderbird, however, I cannot put up with reminders popping up incessantly every minute or so, interrupting what I am doing and making me want to delete Thunderbird and look for something else. How can I adjust the frequency of these very annoying reminders? I only need to be reminded of my credit card bill due date once a day, not once a minute. Please help me????? Thank you!

  1. Open the menu Fx57Menu > Options > calendar > Reminders and make the setting what you want them to be.

Of course I already tried that, but I do not see an option to adjust the time between repeat reminders. Even if I select "Dismiss" after a reminder first pops up, it will pop up again and again every few minutes unless I delete it, which I do not want to do.
