How can I import a file of bookmarks from Chrome which are in a separate folder marked "Imported from IE" when they are no longerin IE, only in Chrome?

I use Chrome as my primary browser. I imported a huge file of bookmarks from Internet Explorer and have continued to add to it. But the bookmarks are all in a folder marked "Imported from IE." I would like to import this entire folder to Firefox. But when I go through the process of importing "Bookmarks from Chrome," Firefox only imports the few bookmarks that I directly bookmarked in Chrome. All of my main bookmarks remain in the previously described folder. When I check the import options for Firefox, I find "Import from Explorer" and "Import from Chrome." How can I import the individual folder filled with bookmarks currently in Chrome? Many thanks, Mark

Soluție aleasă

Hi Mark, I think Firefox should get all the folders that Chrome has, but if you think the name is confusing Firefox, why not rename that folder in Chrome before importing? You could try calling it IE Favorites or something else dissimilar to its current name.

The steps for that are near the end of this article: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/188842

Does that help?

Try to do a copy/cut and paste the bookmarks to another folder in Chrome. Such special import folders may behave differently than the normal built-in root folders. It is usually best not to create new bookmarks in such a folder.
