I found nothing about olnewsday.com using a web search. I did see newsday.com

Does the web address change during this? What is your homepage?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

Does it has effect if you set another browser as the default browser in case you have currently set Firefox as the default browser?

You can try to create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
